Summer Pondering

...it's here.  Dusty fields & gritty meals, windy days, S'mored fingers dressing baby kittens in bonnets, playing in the river, shiney hineys, snow cones, chocolate syrup, hard work, dirty pool, dirty nails, late nights, silly jokes and gobs of everything difficult, summer and satisfying.

I'm here.  Our ranch is here.  Did it take a complicated plan to make it work? No. But it did take wise decision making and a simple basic plan:  "use it up, wear it out, make it do or do without". Being frugal along with God's blessings has helped us sustain for the past 120 years.  If we made bad decisions we changed course, rethought our methods.  Adaptability = Sustainability and Sustainability= Profitability.

                               Common Core...Eat My Dust

What I'm learning about Common Core has me more than worried about my grandkid's future liberties and freedoms. I'm fearful, I'm mad, I'm fed up with it all.  So I'm teaching them anytime I can get my hands on them.  I'm not in control of their educations but I can augment it.  Deuteronomy 11: 18, 19 says, "Therefore shall you lay up these my words in your heart and in your soul, and bind them for a sign on your hand, that they may be as frontlets between your eyes. And you shall teach them to your children, speaking of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up. I'm a thrift store junkie , I love creating something from nothing.  I buy VHS tapes  by the truckloads.  They're cheap and the variety is endless.  I begged Brad to let me drag this $3.00 dino Sharp T.V. home. He told me to leave it there. I twisted his arm.  Kasse thought it was one I'd donated several years ago...not sure but I have been guilty of  paying for and dragging a previously donated oil painting back into my house. 

So that's what I'm doing and with God in control I'm betting on a bright future for all of them!
I'm using  The Well-Trained Mind: A Guide to Classical Education at Home by W.W. Norton  as a guide. We are memorizing scripture, using a timeline to chronicle events in history.  We start the period with The Pledge, both American and Oklahoma (they had to teach me the Oklahoma pledge I'm ashamed to say)

I open a new box of tea bags. New and unimproved...slimmer,  thinner, tinier- less. 
I open a can of tuna or minnow perhaps?
I pour my cereal from a shorter, trimmer box.
I look for God in our schools, in our government, he was here...just yesterday.   
I strain listening for prayers at school. I heard them...only yesterday.
I channel surf hoping to catch a "G" wave.  Movies-commercials suited for little eyes...didn't they exist?
Nudging not shoving
I hear silence; watch numbness usher in incrementalism
But who will notice?

Oklahoma American Agri Women Making a Comeback!

 Oklahoma women from all across the state met recently to reignite the Oklahoma Chapter of the American Agri-Women.  AAW national president, Karen Yost, flew in from Billings, Montana to share ideas and guidance with our energetic group.

The AAW is a national coalition of farm and ranch women's organizations and individuals and was formed in 1974.  This group of active women are extremely involved in agriculture policy and hold positions on ag research, biotechnology, crop protection, rural economic development, homeland security and taxation along with many, many other areas of impact to the agriculture community. 

A steering committee was appointed during the two day event to begin a  membership drive and making plans for our next meeting where officers will be elected.

Robert Semands, GEL Govern Edmond Locally  spoke to our group about the dangers of the United Nations Agenda 21 Sustainable Development entering our communities, ranches and farms threatening our private property rights. Awareness and recognition of how this evil creeps into society is important for all American citizens to know.

Jenni White President of ROPE Restore Oklahoma Public Education explained how this same evil is infiltrating our schools through the implementation of the federally mandated Common Core.

Where Have All The Leaders Gone?

Have you heard the one about Washington pulling out due to the “criticism crisis” at Valley Forge?   Or how about the one where David decided not to fell Goliath because his feelings were hurt when people made fun of his over sized armor? How about the one where Patton quit at Bastogne because people were talking behind his back- no victorious Battle of the Bulge.  Or the one where Nehemiah decided not to rebuild Jerusalem’s wall because Sanballat and Tobiah ridiculed him?

Luckily neither have I, that is not how those stories ended.   Aren’t we glad those heroic leaders and numerous others like them chose to be true leaders?   If fear and emotion had ruled their decision making our liberties and freedoms would have been lost; even our Lord’s ancestral lineage destroyed. 

A silent, dangerous, insidious war is taking place on American soil: the infiltration of the U.N. Agenda 21 Sustainable Development into cities, homes and schools and onto ranches, farms, feedlots and businesses across the U.S.  It will incrementally make it into your backyard determining whether your private property is “sustainable” an elusive term designed and used by a global group intent on destroying America’s sovereignty.   

This past week I visited my state Capitol, something I’m not completely comfortable doing in fact the times I have visited was to serve beef to hungry state legislatures with the Oklahoma Cattlewomen…never to lobby. 

I was excited when I found other like-minded Oklahomans aware and concerned about the threats of the United Nation’s Agenda 21 infiltration and it was great to witness HB 1412 work its way through the political process passing the House overwhelmingly.   

 However, when it was time for the bill to be heard in the Senate it strangely became stalled in Senator Branan’s Energy Committee where he held the ability to put it on the agenda.  I received several emails stating who, how and why it ended up there and was urged to make calls to persuade Senator Branan of the importance of the bill. Realizing the threats of this plan I had an urgency to educate others as quickly as possible so I decided to go a step further and drive to the city and share a crude flow chart I had designed several months earlier that connected dots from my ranch and others like mine, to the destructive Agenda 21 plan and its numerous layers of infiltration (see Agenda 21 heading for more info.)

 A year ago last October I was made aware of Agenda 21 when I recognized its connection to a deceitful beef auditing group on our ranch. From that point forward the dots have clearly connected and point back to the insidious plans and individuals pushing Agenda 21.  Nearly each day that passes I witness Agenda 21 behind another curtain with another set of acronyms (NGOs-Non Government Organizations a tool they use to usurp our constitution). That was true even on day two of my Capitol visit.  On the second day I stumbled upon concerned educators and parents holding a Common Core Is Not OK Rally.  As I listened to speakers for nearly an hour it became clear the infiltration of this insidious plan, which is data mining our children’s personal information among other horrendous things, is an arm of Agenda 21.  It was during that rally that a speaker Representative Gus Blackwell from the Oklahoma Panhandle approached me and pointed at my chart making the statement that the two were connected.  I told him I was beginning to realize that but had not heard of Common Core until that rally.

  I was excited when I witnessed “true” leadership…thank you Representative Skye McNiel who after serious attacks on her family, including a death threat, stood firm and helped usher in HB 1999; the horse slaughter bill.  I was thrilled when Representative Gus Blackwell understood my complicated chart after glancing at it a few seconds.  I was excited when I actually got to speak with Senator Branan and he gave me time to discuss my concerns.  We had a nice short conversation and I felt he was truly going to try to understand the threats of Agenda 21…he even asked to keep my flow chart.

 But when the going got tough and insults started flying I was deeply disappointed in what I’ll call “marshmallow” leadership…leadership I’m glad wasn’t practiced during our history’s previous days of wartime.  Do I agree with the actions of  Mr. Gerhart towards Senator Branan?  Absolutely not blackmail is reprehensible but was it so reprehensible as to cause our leaders to kill the bill?  Hadn’t Representative McNiel just withstood numerous attacks; some life threatening? Should the mistakes of a few frustrated, angry constituents determine the fate of our sovereignty? The fate of our children and grandchildren; whether they have an opportunity to live in the Land of the Free?

We are at war.  I’ll say it over and over…and over.  Roll your eyes and snicker, I’ve gotten used to that.  A large growing number of Americans aren’t snickering, they’re educating themselves and others. They know this incremental war is real.  They’re watching it unfold.  It’s not a conspiracy, a conspiracy has no evidence…the evidence of Agenda 21’s infiltration and destruction is countless and easily accessed with  simple research.  Courageous groups such American Agri Women are standing up and standing firm against it as are a growing number of states.

What has been interesting to witness is the attitude of leaders that refuse to accept the fact of this “Agenda 21 War” those who deem themselves a little loftier than most- educated beyond measure.  Smug statements such as “Well, we’re so sorry your bill wasn’t heard” or  “Hey, your bill didn’t fair too well this week, Gerhart didn’t do such a good job marketing it did he?” My bill?   My battle?  Excuse me.  And to think the individuals that made these statements are leading, lobbying, making decisions that affect our future and the future of our families; our state? 

Great leaders are crucial in times of war.  Leaders with great wisdom and great minds will determine whether our nation survives; not leadership controlled by special interest groups, emotion and fear.  Leaders who have the courage to stand up  and take  "Home of the Brave" seriously.

Before I begin this journey I would like to ask for prayers of protection not only for myself and my family but for others like myself who are beginning to stand up against this.  Taking a stand against this is a very dangerous thing to do and we need all of your prayers.  I realized I was being watched over a year ago.  My courage to do this comes from my Lord and I know he is here guiding what I'm doing.  Thank You All...

I am going to begin at the end and work backwards.  To absorb what I'll be sharing in the next 30 days you must first understand what the UN Agenda 21 is and why it is  being implemented.  It is a worldwide plan to inventory and control all land, all water, all minerals, all plants, all animals, all construction, all means of production, all information, and all human beings in the world.  .
 While many people support the United Nations for its 'peacemaking' efforts, hardly anyone knows that they have very specific land use policies that they would like to see implemented in every city, county, state and nation.  This specific plan the United Nations Agenda 21 Sustainable Development Plan is being implemented around the globe.

In a nutshell, the plan calls for governments to take control of all land use and not leave any of the decision making in the hands of private property owners. It is assumed that people are not good stewards of their land and the government will do a better job if they are in control. Individual rights will be replaced with the needs of communities, as determined by the governing body. 

The affluence of Americans is considered as being a major problem which needs to be corrected. It calls for lowering the standard of living for Americans so that the people in poorer countries will have more, a redistribution of wealth. 

Agenda 21 policies date back to the 70's but accelerated in 1992 at the Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro when President Bush signed onto it.  President Clinton took office the following year and created the President's Council on Sustainable Development to implement it in the United States. Made up of federal agencies, corporations, and non-profit groups, the President's Council on Sustainable Development moved quickly to ensure that all federal agencies would change their policies to comply with UN Agenda 21.

                                                                    ICLEI

A non-governmental organization (NGO) called the International Council of Local Environmental Initiatives, ICLEI, was created by the U.N. for the sole purpose of advancing Agenda 21 around the world. Remember the UN Agenda 21/Sustainable Development is a global plan that is implemented locally. They claim more than 1,200 cities around the globe have joined their organization for assistance in implementing "sustainable development" – defined to be the recommendations contained in Agenda 21. More than 600 of these cities are in the United States.

   This plan is a whole life plan. It involves the educational system, the energy market, the transportation system, the governmental system, the health care system, food production, and more. The plan is to restrict your choices, limit your funds, narrow your freedoms, and take away your
voice.

                 In a nutshell as I understand it the International Union for the Conservation of Nature is the green arm. This group determines what animals and land are and are not endangered or threatened according to their governing body.  Below is a list of those species they deem threatened:

As I unfold this you will see how the Endangered Species Act is tied to this arm of destroying our Private Property Rights and you will meet Karen Budd Falen who has been working tirelessly to stop it.

This international community – the U.N., the IUCN, and the ICLEI – is working aggressively to get Agenda 21 converted into binding international law. It will happen unless informed Americans stand up against ICLEI and Agenda 21.  We must realize that the use of the term "sustainable development" is nothing more than a sound-good substitute for Agenda 21.

                         Monday we will look at the individuals who are driving this agenda and the power and influence they have in every part of our lives.


                                              

30 Days to Understanding Agenda 21 - We Own What THEY WANT

For over 9 years I've been trying to make sense of the senseless- understanding the Humane Society of the U.S.  As an animal protein producer I felt compelled to study everything I could get my hands on to educate myself on this destructive organization as I felt this was the main threat to our industry.  I started a blog and invited others to voice their concerns which we did enthusiastically. We discussed and cussed, but solved few problems. Along with HSUS I began to recognize more threats; the EPA and its over reaching regulations that directly affect farming and ranching; the abuse of the Endangered Species Act and a growing intent on the destruction of our ranching industry. Personal encounters gave me more reason for concern.  I studied more, attended conferences and summits learning as much as I could about this growing army of enemies positioning themselves to destroy us.  But just when I would think I had found the reasoning key to unlock the box of bizarre, one more disturbing fact would unveil itself.

Last fall that all changed.  All the pieces fell into place.  That was the day I was introduced to the United Nation's Agenda 21.  It would soon become clear that the picture being painted by this onerous group revealed more dangers than HSUS...much, much, more.  Everything I had been struggling to explain became crystal clear.-all the pieces fit.

I have tried over the last few months to share the connections I've found with fellow producers. The story is too complicated.  It is impossible to put in a nut shell something that has taken a highly organized group nearly 100 years to implement.  It can't possibly be explained quickly.

Progressive/Socialistic ideals have incrementally been infiltrating our nation for years.  Past presidents have played roles in ushering it in with few citizens paying attention.  Until now.  The door to set these ideas into motion was opened by the Obama administration and today they are quickly becoming part of our lives without our knowing it.  Unless we take this threat seriously our freedom will be cut short. 
We must educate ourselves and learn to recognize the warning signs-the words they are using, ultimately how the plans they are implementing will affect your lives. 
The next 30 days I will explain how this devastating, socialistic plan is finding its way onto our ranches, farms and into our businesses and private lives. 

I will explain HSUS' connection to this agenda and the individuals who are in control; how propaganda is being used to drive their message; how they've utilized Sun Tzu's Art of War strategies to their advantage and much more.
                                                        Tomorrow We Begin The Journey

A Story About A "Godly" President

   The story is told of U.S. President James Garfield's first Sunday in Washington, D.C. after his inauguration.  A member of the cabinet insisted that a cabinet meeting must be called at 10:00 a.m. the following day (Sunday), to handle a matter that threatened a national crisis.  Garfield refused on the grounds of another appointment.  The cabinet member then insisted that the national matter was of such great importance that the President should break his engagement.
   Garfield refused.  Then the cabinet member remarked, "I would be interested to know with whom you could have an engagement so important that it cannot be broken." Garfield replied, "I will be as frank as you are.  My engagement is with the Lord, to meet Him at His House and at His table at 10:30 a.m. tomorrow, and I shall be there."
   The President was at worship services the next morning.  The nation survived the crisis.  President Garfield was a member of the Lord's church.
   The Lord's statement is still true: "Seek ye first the kingdom of God and righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you."
   Has our current President kept his most important appointment?    
On Tuesday vote for a U.S. President who will "Seek God First."
